Building Obstacles: OCR Course Test
We’ve been finalising the course plans for our three distances on February 25, 2017 ( 21K, 10K, 5K) at Badass Mucker: Reboot. Part of the fun before building obstacles is checking the areas they will be placed. The VIDEO BELOW was taken as part of our pond depth checks for a plunge obstacle, and it turned out to be perfect.
There is lots of variety on the #Feb25 course ranging from steep rock faces to woods and ponds. There’s even an old quarry that has been partially filled in. It looks likes a WW1 battlefield, so we are adding barbed wire crawls, mud pits, a bunker and other atmospheric obstacles to enhance its potential. Similar enhancements are being employed elsewhere around the OCR course.
We will add a couple more obstacle examples in the next post. The map for the half marathon, 10K and 5K OCR courses below will give you some idea of the kind of things to expect. We’ll release photos and video clips of several obstacles over the next few weeks. In the meantime, if you want to register for one of the Feb 25th OCR courses, just click on the map to take you through to the registration page.
