New Course Map: Draft 1
After lots of trekking around the new location for Badass Mucker Reboot on February 25, 2017, we have settled on the course routes and the majority of obstacle locations for the event. There may be some minor adjustments to take account of conditions on the ground in February, but the graphic reflects the new course areas being used. The starred areas show the placement of obstacles. [ See complete map at bottom of post ]
Many of our obstacle are being built to make use of the land’s natural resources – ponds, streams, forest, rocky areas, marsh, steep climbs, We are excited by the range of terrain we have access to, and the course promises pretty much a bit of everything – from trails to steep rock climbs, marsh and heavy mud, and lots of water. There are a couple of places that also introduce a few new surprises in terms of obstacles, including the use of a derelict building…
The next draft of the map will show the planned route between the obstacles, plus some more information about the new ‘hub base’ system that we are using for this event. It’s an exciting new development to make the best use of the course and take account of potentially very cold conditions. [ Our next post later this week explains this system and it’s rationale in detail ]
Teaser pics and video clips
To introduce you to some of the event areas named on the course graphic above, we’ll be producing some video clips and photography over the next few weeks. Look out for the first one that we hope to have edited by the end of this week.
We look forward to welcoming you in February and producing a tough new course for your new year challenge.
